Following reports, generated within previous projects, describe technologies of interest for the SmaRTGas project.
Renewtec Report 002:2014 “Småskalig förgasning” (only available in Swedish). The biomethane production cost is calculated for small and medium scale gasification and methanation of wood chips. The small scale plant, 5.6 MWth involves biomass dryer, Heatpipe reformer technology, ZnO bed for sulphur removal, catalytic tar reforming, fixed bed methanation and amine scrubber for post-methantion carbon dioxide removal. The medium scale plant, 33 MWth involves biomass dryer, Güssing type of gasifier, RME scrubber for tar removal, ZnO bed for sulphur removal, fluidised bed methanation and amine scrubber for post-methantion carbon dioxide removal.
